Cheaters, Liars and Jokers

I just received a call from those time-share marketing ppl, here's how it goes:


Caller: Hi this is Eunice, may I speak to Juvena pleeeeeaaaaaasssseeeeee?

Me: Yes speaking, sorry you're calling from?

Eunice: Lifestyle Marketing (the company name already put me off). Just like to ask, Do you remember filling up forms at shopping centres, supermarkets and departmental stores?

Me: No I dun remember (obviously its a convenient excuse....)

Eunice: Well, we're now giving away gifts like ..... etc (i really cant remember the gifts), and you're one of the 20 who're selected to receive this gift. Would you like to come down to our office at Delfi Orchard to receive your gift after your work tomorrow?

Me: Oh sorry I cant meet you after work tomorrow.

Eunice: Oh you cant? Why not?

Me: Cos tmr I'm not working

Eunice: Huh you're not working tmr? Wow! (so pretentious)

Me: Yeah cos its a Sunday tmr......

---Silence---

Eunice: Ok, so I'll see you tomorrow at 2pm at Delfi Orchard.

Me: No I cant, I wont be in Singapore tomorrow.

Eunice: Ok, then I will call you when you're back, when are you back?

Me: I'll be going away for 2 years(this is a lie :> )

Eunice: Ok can, I'll call u back in 2 years time.

Me: Its ok lah, I dun think I want to receive your call in 2 yrs time also.

Bitch: (Getting agitated) Why? I can still call u then!

Me: 2 yrs leh, I'll be gone for 2 yrs leh! I still dun wan you to call me by then...

Bitch: Dun lie ok, I know its a lie!

(And she hang up the phone......)

Its funny what these ppl say, you know they're lying also, so why cant I? If you can cheat ppl off their money, you cant live with a small joke? If they can say things like: you're one of the 20 being selected for their so-called "GRAND PRIZE", then I cant go overseas for 2 yrs? This is ridiculous!

Be careful of false prophets

Yesterday there's an Indian Singh fortune teller who want to cheat me of my money!!! :P
He came into my shop holding a card with a picture of Kuanyin and say he can do fortune telling for ppl!?! Crazy!!

Then he start by saying nice things about me, 'prophesying' that next year I will have alot of luck and fortune and will start travelling. And he want to move in by asking me for a piece of paper... hmmm see how smoothly these ppl operate...

I think nowadays there's really alot of false prophets around us, psychics, fortune tellers, occultist, etc... the source of their knowledge does not come from God but the principalities of darkness.

It is not to say that ALL that they predict is false. Even Satan knows that our future will be bright with the Lord, so he send these servants out to the world to destroy the faith... so friends, the next time you come across such characters, do not put your trust in them. Whose report shall you believe? I shall believe the report of the Lord.

My new hairdo

I love my new hairdo, didnt intend to go for a haircut on sunday, just thought I dun wanna go home so early, so I went along with my friends who're going to Bugis. This friend said he wanted to go for a haircut, and wanted to go back to the stylist who gave him a very nice cut. In my mind I was thinking when did he ever have a nice haircut before? Always looked like he had a bad hair day...

The stylist suggested chopping off my long hair to above shoulder! :P My God, I havent had short hair for 5 yrs!!!! But as it turned out, he was good at his job. And I had a nicer haircut than my friend hahaha!

Sometimes the things that you don't expect will turn out better than if you expect.
